Personally I like the 1000/1000's myself. Cheevos have cool icon pics too, like Mass Effect's Insanity achievement for example. Also certain achievements unlock gamerpics, like Gears 1 & 2 + Mass Effect which I think is really cool.
BTW, yeah, a guy can have a 50k score by playing games like Kung Fu Panda, but you can *instantly* look at their achievements & what games they play so that point is moot... not to mention when someone has a highscore, ppl are much more like...

Cant afford a price cut, supposedly every current PS3 sold @ $399 costs $450 to produce (read in a recent N4G article). I tend to believe that must be somewhat true, or they would have cut the price b4 Xmas. Maybe that will change though by Q4...

I use to be the biggest Gears fan ever. After getting a 1000/1000 I traded that crap for COD:W@W. Much better MP. Sure they gotta alotta things right in the campaign, but Gears is known as a MP games... or was. Epic wont fix sh!t, they would rather sell you old pc maps.
